Was the Smart* car already that far forwards or was it 'encouraged' by your new bumperage..?
It was already there, I just did to wind up one of the other lads. Note the empty spaces in the background.

Oh, I thought you'd managed it there, just. Or did you park both cars for a giggle?

In that case he needs the turtle to practise on as his front wheels are over the line and into the next field, it looks like.

..well, this morning.... I've been at the vet's with Teatime. Yes, it's time for Comrade Nutsov :( I've left him all shaved and prepped and trussed up like a turkey in the operating room. When I had George done I left him there the night before, so we wouldn't have to starve him here and ignore his cries for food, but I can still remember the shocked look on his face when I left him and he was never as friendly afterwards, so I wanted to stay with Teatime as long as possible, so I was carrying him around until he went floppy and watched as Mirela had another go at his ears (he has a menagerie in them) and shaved and cleaned him ready for the, er, chop. Then she put him in the dark operating room to go completely under and I think I kind of got told to go home as I was in the way. I wouldn't have minded being there (it wouldn't be the first surgery I'd watched) but he won't be ready to come home until 11 so I guess there's plenty of other stuff I should be getting on with.

He's home. I think he's a bit too drunk to care just now. While I was changing the towel in the box just now (he leaked, it happens) he followed me into the kitchen so I gave him a tiny piece of chicken. I then watched as he tried to eat it, the damn thing just kept escaping so he gave up.

Ours was a bit pissy-wissy for a couple of days, his blanket got binned. Our Vet said to feed him rice & chicken after so we did and he enjoyed THE CHICKEN

I gave him the choice of boiled chicken or raw chicken liver, he went for the liver, naturally. Unfortunately he then threw it up again :( Too soon I guess. The weird thing is where he threw up. Where do cats usually throw up, on the carpet? Down the back of a chair? You? The cups and saucers you just put out for a guest? (Thanks MJ  ). Nope, he threw up in the litter tray. This is one seriously unusual puddytat!

I forgot to mention, he was on my bed not long before that.

Our cats (and dogs) have left us little presents all over the place, carpets, rugs, chairs, the bathroom mat a few times, so the bath would be an improvement.

Well, the food seems to be staying put now and he's cycling between my lap, the kitchen to see if there's any more and the door to meow pathetically for exit. Mirela says he can go out tomorrow. I'm not keen myself but she says I can't keep him in all month (apparently it'll take a month for his hormones to realise there's no point) so we'll just have to hope he doesn't get his arse kicked again.

Meanwhile, behind the façade of this innocent-looking book store...

I let Teatime out yesterday morning about 7 and he was gone most of the day. Level of worry - moderate. He came back briefly in the afternoon, I'd cut up some pig's livers for the animals and saved some for him so I presented it to him. He took one sniff of it, looked up at me with suspicion on his face and scarpered, through the balcony door across the garden, through the fence, across the road  What was that about? Level of worry - strong.

Then he came back about 7, "Teatime!" and he was off again, only stopped when he got to the now closed balcony door. I approached slowly with hand outstretched while he cowered with fear and... "No no no no, please don't kill me! Oh, tickles, that's ok." Stuffed full of pig's liver and boiled chicken he spent the night on my bed and he's been here ever since, cycling between the kitchen for more grub and snoozing on my bed and he shows no inclination to go out, despite the balcony door and cat flap being open. Weird.

Also, I've just been out and bought the tubing for the pantry. I worked out that the longest I could get in yoyo2 was 2.5 meters, this comes in 6 meter lengths. Umm... So I got the guy to cut them in half, 3x6m plus a half he had hanging about. I had to tie the back door of the yoyo shut but it's only from the high road.

21m x 20mm square tube, 40 x 4" screws and rawl plugs (it was that or 1.5") and I even bought plastic caps for the tubes, 32 of.

Total 27 quid.

Tbh this place I'm going to, while it has masses of metal and plumbing stuff, is a bit lacking on stuff like screws but I'd still prefer to give them my money than the other shop in town that does loads of screws and paint and such, purely because the guy I'm dealing with here actually speaks pretty good English and genuinely seems happy to see me, rather than the other place where I can see the look of "Oh no, it's the English guy again" on their faces every time I walk through the door.
