Next jobs on the list,

get rid of the walnut trim off the dash,

New front wheel bearing, other than that its good,

only paid £451.09p for it so, idont mind spending a few quid on it,

just replaced front pads with Mintex ones, £11 parts are fairly cheap for it, 8)

So that'll be the well equipped SX model then? Even rarer, a 110 HDi SX - usually all the 110s are a Desire & the SXs are 90s. If memory serves, the Y plate one I picked up was supposed to be a 110, but can't remember if it actually had the intercooler or if it was another case of the databases having the wrong details - only had the car a month before it got sold on a friend's forecourt for £2000 more than I paid. Prefer the older wheels I had to the Star ones you've got there though. Think they were the same as they fit to the VTRs. The last run bumpers with the fogs in make the front end look much tidier than mine did too. Has your Xsara got the full front grill or is the top chevron loose like most of the others seem to be?

Yup its a rare one so im told,
ive been told to keep hold of it, not many around,

The wheels are getting replaced with Vtr ones through the summer, ithink they will give it that wider stance look,
Strangely the grille is in one peice, which is differnt, the last xsara ihad it was missing, and everyother one ive seen has it missing too,

only thing idont like about it is the Walnut trim inside, its abit tacky, it looks like Melted choclate, (its got to go)

im not doing much to it,

plans are Vtr wheels, phase 2.5 front bumper, and il throw on some winddeflectors if ican find some,

There not abad car, plenty of leg room, cheap tax, and its a flying machine,

No Turbo whistle tho like the 406s imiss that :(

Nice one!

How did you get such a good colour match?

Had a Xantia once that was several shaes of silver, and the blue spray cans for the 406 never matched reality.

Made it match mate,

what you do is spray it and then sand off the shiney coat, so its Matt
then you laquer it, hope that makes sense

ithink alot of people dont do that hence big patches and runs

Thanks for the link of the Xsara for sale.
Need to save a couple of pound, probably look local for a cheap car (flight + ferry + fuel etc to GB add up).

How difficult is it to change a wheel bearing?

theyre not that hard to do mate, if its a xsara, look on 306 sites, plenty of how 2 guides about,

If its a xsara that needs arear wheel bearing make sure it is the wheel bearing thats failing and not the Rear Beam, there expensive and hard to get hold of :(
