Just like the title says, it actually is off to a better place, the paint booth to be exact Its in for the next few days to get the patchy bonnet and scratched front wings resprayed. Hoping to keep the car going for a couple of years so it seems like a worthwhile task to give the old girl a freshen up. Here's hoping for a good job. Pic below is of the peeled lacquer and sketchy paint, I believe this was a poor respray earlier on in the cars life before it joined our family.
Ooh, nice one - it'll be like new when it comes back.
I wouldn't like to be around when the first stone-chip comes a'knockin
Toppy Tippy actually: I've been hanging-back at least 6 or 8 car lengths all the time and can report much, much fewer stone chips in the last 18 months (easier on the condenser too).
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work

Yeah can't wait, feels odd not seeing it when I look out the kitchen window.lol. The first chip will be hateful but there are enough others over the car so it'll just help it blend

Tell me about it, if this is a good job then i'm considering getting the sills and the lower part of a rear door sprayed. Have recently noticed the paint starting to chip here too, nice spots for rust to start :S luckily getting this done will be alot cheaper than the bonnet and wings
