Clean engine bay!

Post by mjb »

I, uh, appear to have taken a wire brush to my engine bay after liking the cleanliness offered by attacking the plastics with degreaser following the nasty incident with transmission oil....

Shiny! 8)

I'm jealous, I want a V6

Ecosse Peugeot offers a V6 upgrade (i.e. replacement of existing engine for a Peugeot 3.0 V6) but it's £5500 and I think that's a little too much for my budget (i.e. f***-all).
2002 (D9) Peugeot 406 Coupe SE, 2.2 litre Petrol. Scarlet Red/Rouge Ecarlate/Rosso Scarlatto. Black Leather interior. SOLD :(
2008 (E60 LCI) BMW 525i M-Sport, 3.0 litre Petrol. Carbonschwarz Metallic. Black Dakota Leather and Myrtlewood interior.

yeah, but do you really want ecosse touching your car?

try kr tuning in glasgow for that sort of thing, much better and probably cheaper.

I've often wondered if one of those strut top braces would be any help to us 'mainstream' 406ers

Admireable work m - try a touch of Autoglym Bumper Care on the black plastic bits to really finish it off

A strut brace up front on the estate might make it go all bendy/twisty at the back? then you'd need one bridging the boot space and the Dogs won't like that at all

Doubtful. The saloon+estate are set up for comfort whereas the coupe's evidently designed for handling (my god it handles better, but at a price...) The strut brace would probably make virtually no difference without a suspension overhaul first
