Do D9's have a standard ISO connection as standard like the D8's?

No. The D9 has 3 VAN bus pins wired to the BSI. Also, cars with the JBL amplifier carry line-level signals to the amp over the speaker lines

I think MJB is referring to the additional plug that is at top in the back of the Clarion head units with a few poxy little wires coming out of it, that is not standard iso,

but,

and i can only go from empirical research on this and claim to know nothing more than the fact i swapped mine out a month ago so can tell you that the lower two plugs are standard ISO plugs and go straight in to new stereos as i said probably have to swap over your power feeds but mine wasnt any trouble at all.

No, the D9 has VAN bus lines on the power connector where the lines for illumination, speed and something else should be. As also pointed out above, the perm and switched +12v lines are also swapped.

so its just plug and play as far the connectors go then?
all i had to do was swap the powers over and its all still working fine to date :?
