I have a 99 v reg 406 glx 2.0 hdi and i want to swap the front seats for ones that have armrests, can anyone tell me if they are a straight swap or do i have to change wiring loom.

thanks

If they're non electric and they're both the same body type (D8 or D9) you shouldnt have much of an issue, just plug out the various connectors

Thanks for the reply, my car is a 99 v reg glx facelift and im sorry but i dont know what you mean with D8 or D9. When i tried to have the seats changed the colours of the connector plugs were different, the guy that was fitting them told me that if i plug them in i could do damage to the abs or airbag lights and i would have to take the car to peugeot to be repaired.

thanks again

I f you don't know what state the car that the replacement seats came out of i.e like me, I bought a set of leathers off ebay and didn't see the car, then there is a chance they have come out of an accident damaged car.
I had issues with the airbag light which turned out to be pre-tensioners which hadn't fired correctly, making them look ok, but were sending wrong signal to airbag ecu.
Therefore, I suggest you fit the existing pre-tensioners and associated wiring out of your own car to the new seats.
It's no big deal, just a few clips and a 17mm bolt securing it all in.
