Bernard To The Rescue...

Post by Bailes1992 »

I'm sure you all know my now my 406 is called Bernard

Anyway first problem of the night my mate gets his keys stuck in his car. So I look in my boot for a big bloody screw driver and a coat hanger, all of which are found and used to leaver open his door and pull the bpoot leaver...
Image

Just as we manage to get in his car my mate Beckie rolls up...

And into a ditch

So guess who had to rescue her?
Image
Thats right, the knob in this photo pointing over there called Bailes

So out comes Bernard...
Image

So I start pulling and I could not pull the car out for the life of me and just kept spinning...
Image

Beckie then gets out the car and goes "Is the handbreak supposed to be off" :wall::wall::wall:

So we get a man in the car and we pull it out...
Image

And being in Wales we even developed an Audience...

And the girl herself...

What a night

Well done Bernard, a good days work for the old chap :cheesy:

Good work by you too Bailes,

see it just goes to prove the old 406's are a wise investment, and not tidying out the car too often is good thing and you may well need all that "crap" you carry about, just coz you can

Note above sentence may well make more sense to the older and more married type chap than yourself Bailes

That's a great post Bailes 8) 8)

You know, being older, none of those things would have happened to me and my friends on a day out as we'd be so boringly dull to check, check and check before doing anything  ..........

.....trouble is I now wouldn't be doing that kinda thing and I've lost touch with most of my friends :(

It's kinda cool and funny though the silly things we do when we're young but you all got there in the end and thankfully you had the best machine there to help 8)

I remember at Uni the abuse I used to get for driving a non-turbo Citroen ZX diesel.

However it was MAZ (as she was called from her numberplate) that saved their Corsas and Fiestas when their batteries died and they got stuck on the grass.

An old workhorse may not get much credit, but when the going gets tough it just gets on with it. (Unlike HDis, which almost need an XUD backup car :( )

Love it 8)

Although it reminds me of the days when me and my mates used to do day/weekend trips away in our cars, such a laugh. Seems like along time ago now :(

Im depressed now at the relentless onslaught of the passage of time, and I'm only 27

Remember my uni days, the craic we had. 5 of us, plus all of our luggage, across Scotland through a blizzard to catch the overnight ferry back to Belfast for the Christmas holidays.
Getting a Fabia stuck on a beach.
Road trips from Scotland to England.
Squeezing a ZX between bollards with barely millimetres to spare after getting lost in a pedestrian area somewhere in the borders area.

Good times.
