HDi Com2000

Post by ianjoh »

Hello all
What year did the Hdi 110's electriks become com2000, is there an easy way to identify the difference by chassis or engine number??
I am looking for another early D9 but dont want a com2000.

The COM2000 unit seems to have come in to the 406 range from mid-to-late 2001.

If you get a late '99 (V-reg) to early '01 plate HDi, you should have no COM2000 woes.

Straightforward enough to change a COM2000 (once you've gotten the airbag off)

Just the cost of it, £140 on the net.

Unless it's got ESP, then you can double that price. And then some.

Not COM2000

If you're looking at a COM2000 car feel the indicators - if the stick feels all floppy then it's gonna need changing, if it feels perhaps a touch harder than you'd expect then it's been changed.

ESP = more stuff to go wrong.

I changed the indicator stalks in my 2002 car which has the com2000 unit and with that done there has been no problems from it since
