not sure which section this shoud go in - i thought bodywork, but its for non styling. please move if needed.
i plan to remove the letters and numbers from the boot of my estate. i thought about going one step further and thought about taking the lion badge off as well.
my question is, whats underneath the badge and is it stick on or is it anchored through the boot, and if removed, will it leave holes?
edit - just thought... wold taking the badge off leave a dip in the skin?
cheers

Hiya mate, have you got the earlier squarish black backgrounded lion badge or have you got the later chrome lion? If it's the first one there are 2 guide holes behind it, if it's the 2nd one I'm pretty sure there aren't any holes. No indents for either

Re: De badging question.
I never even knew there were 2 different types of badge until now. Lurch'll have the same crappy black 1 as I've got - SRis were all pre-multiplex - so looks like we're both stuffed for getting rid.
I want the chrome one now.

Re: De badging question.
Im looking for a new boot lid button for the back of my d9 saloon because some lacquer where the lion logo is has peeled away and it doesn't look good, are they easy to take off.

I know there is a big guide on the coupe club, but you'd need to be a member to view it
