Interesting.

Looks just a tad reminscent of this
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

I thought there was something vaguely familiar about it, even stranger Deltic animation here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBTF5Ps4Scs

Although there's three crankshafts in the Deltic, while this little guy has just one. And 6 big ends presumably...

That's stretching it a bit to describe is as 2 pistons in 'one' cylinder. Looks like they've eliminated the crankcase and somehow mounted the crank cetrally between the bores, but whichever way you look it it there's still one bore per piston.

The 2 stroke aspect is interesting. Without a crankcase there's nowhere to draw the charge into, and no primary compression. I wonder how they did it?
