I had a 2.2 coop. A simple airbox mod and a remap saw a whopping 40BHP gain. A hugely understressed engine. My ex's boyfriend drives it now :( Grrrrrrrrr...

The G in 1.4, 1.6 and 1.7D form was, in it's day, Britains most robust police car, by a huge margin. Ours have almost all been replaced with Foci, and they're dire in comparison. The G was wondrously neutral handling, whereas the Foci and get very exciting right on the limit or in the wet, and is really inappropriate in comparison.

Yup the oil feed used to stop working, thus causing the chain to seize.

I had a momentary weakness for the arden blue gsi's... mmm tasty.

The airbox mod and vectra c air intake made a huge difference but I never touched my old car. It was a financed car, so had to hand it back, in near the same condition I got it (thank god they didn't go looking) lol

Still suffer like the rest of Vauxhall's with torque steer.

Depends...

Our 2000 VT Commodore was a bit of a dud - had a noise in the dashboard which couldn't be resolved. Vacuum hose came loose in traffic, swaybar bushes failed at 50,000km.

Bought a 2004 model Calais (Think MV6 Omega) - Has been faultless! Top car! Only downside is the fuel economy - 17L/100km (16MPG)... :cheesy:
