Headlight Washers In Action

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Headlight Washers In Action

Post by FarmerPug »

I finally got a way to record the headlight washers going, they are amazing things to watch like pop up headlights were back in the day.

Yip they work when the headlighs are on, good things to watch in action, generally useless though except for scaring away cats, id love to turn the nozzle around on them to work as a sort of water pistol that hid itself before the person sees what soaked them.
Your tips on the embedding a youtube video came in helpful, thanks.

My old Omega had a similar arrangement, but with one nozzle missing. Previous owner forked out £35 for a replacement, that disappeared 1st time he used them, so I never bothered.

Jet could reach about 20' when the car was stopped

Also useful to spray the windscreen on fast roundabouts, if the screenwashers were frozen
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
