Surely in that example it could mean either, dependant on context.
What really annoys me is when these kind of grammar errors are included in serious corporate media. It's one thing to use an inappropriate apostrophe in a forum post, but to have a huge, expensive sign for your company and its "product's"...
I mean honestly there's, what, three cases to worry about - plural, possessive and contraction.
Also, this has been amusing me of late.
