I'd still kick his ass though, 22 years of studying construction plans in an office environment has turned me into a muscle-mountain :P :P

I wouldn't say I'm hard, but Death recently had a near-Turbolag experience!

I'm as big a pussycat as a squaddie-cum-copper can be, not least of which is because I'm very lazy really.

Motherboards areant hard to replace. Just take your time removing things from the laptop one by one and get lots of pictures as you do it. If you wearn't so far away I'd have come and given you a hand. £100 for an hours work is stupid money!

Unless you work as a Peugeot dealer

They're fairly logical to take apart, Laptops. Just a bit more awkward than a Desktop, but at the end of the day so long as you put everything back the way it was, you should be fine.

Last laptop I took apart required the removal of 132 screws to replace a hinge. Yes. One hundred and thirty tow screws. My old Toshiba needed something like 80 screws removing to change the hard disk...

I don't like dismantling laptops at all :(

Toshibas used to be bulletproof.

My old Toshiba 406 had 4 screws and a prise off plastic cover to remove the HDD. Upgraded to a lofty 1GB!
