Rear window winder

Am I being soft and just need to give it a tug or is there something I am missing when attempting to remove the rear door card? Everything else I have sussed out, I just cant work out how the window winder comes off?

I was being soft, manned up and it pulled off a treat

too soft, do it clarkson style and use a hammer, it always gets window winders off, even them annoying vauxhall ones so there is no need to buy the special tool
