My V6 broke 180,000 the other day, and I think it's just over 181k now :)

Ok Welly, I did really mean genuine miles. Just an idle thought really. A local Taxi has done 350,000ish, but I have not had a chance to have a look.

I have a 2.0 HDi 110 on 99 S plate and it has 169,000mls on the clock, 29,000 of which Ive put on myself in just over a year. And you know what? With the exception of a small fuel leak, it runs like a dream and always has. Ive only changed the oil once, never needed to top it up and likewise for the coolant.
I love my Pug.....

What, more oil? Im on a budget you know, lol. I paid 850 for it and so far its had the following replaced, all of which I knew about when I bought it:

Exhaust
2 x front lower wishbones
Full engine mount replacements
2 x rear drop links
2 x front drop links (replaced twice cos the roads in Newquay are pretty rough!)
2 x front discs and 2 x rear combi disc/drums
New brakes, twice
2 x rollbar bushes
Clutch
Timing and auxiliary belts
Heater blower fan
Dash and fascia bulbs all replaced

and it now stands me at 2300......so I cant afford oil.
I know, I should replace it more often but this has been the most reliable car Ive ever had. And it has its faults - the air con system has a leak and has never worked, its had a small fuel leak ever since Ive had it (this has eluded every attempt to trace it on numerous occasions) and I have an airbag warning light (apparently seat belt tensioner) constantly on. Shes like a stunning blonde with a pimple on her forehead......not quite perfect but you love her anyway

The D9 I drove for someone else made 350,000 miles before it ummm vanished (but it was still running when it disappeared).
My D9 exec was on 246,000 before it got written off in a smash, 244,000 on the original clutch 8)
But I can be smug and say I'm driving a VW with 453,000 miles on the original engine (even if it just had a new turbo) 8)
