I am removing the dashboard clocks on my 1998 d8 406. So far i have took off the plastic panel which encases the 3 airvents (it is the one with 3 torx screws above the steering wheel). I have also removed the 4 torx screws (2 above and two below) from the display panel. The dashboard display is still tight and i was wondering what else had to be loosened so i can pull the display out!
All help appreciated!

Re: Help! Removing Dashboard clocks
Is there another screw at the top in the centre? If not, just hit the thing a bit.. it should be loose now but it can get a bit wedged...

Perhaps the cables are tight or pinched.

Re: Help! Removing Dashboard clocks
It's just the four screws holding the cluster in and a couple of clips. Pull it towards you from the top & it'll come free, two plugs to remove from the rear.

Re: Help! Removing Dashboard clocks
It may well get a bit stuck in place... as has been said once you have the four inner screws out, giving it a thorough wiggle or maybe a jimmy with a screwdriver or suchlike may dislodge it. Taking care not to crack anything in the process of course. I'd advise against trying to knock it out with anything hammer-like, mind
Just in case you haven't done so already, pulling the steering wheel fully forward and down makes the task of extracting the cluster far, far easier ^_^
