Made a start on the Focus today :D

Post by Bailes1992 »

You all know I'm getting a Focus soon.

Anyway few years ago the windows in the front packed up and we sent it to an auto electrician. Well I noticed the other day that if you open the passengers side window from the drivers side controls it won't go back up again. So I decided to have a look...

An auto sparkie did that

So sorted it out to the best of my abilities :)

I then noticed there was nothing left of the key

Now we've always used the key without the buttons on it because the RFID chip went missing once while we were changing the batteries in the key. So it wouldn't start the car. So I buthered the key we usually use to get the chip out of that and put it in the key with the buttons...

The key with the buttons has much more left on it...

Anywhos ontop of that the last few days my 406 has had a grey talend sticking out of the bumper after I drove into a rock :) So time to get it sorted...

Thats ghastly work from the spark, and i bet he probably took your money without the slightest care that his work was badly done, thats one of the joys of buying used you can see other peoples work around the car, sometimes it can be good if they have waxoled underneath everywhere and kept a meticulos record of everything spent on the car, but then you can get the cars which have a chopstick or chewing gum holding bits together, but good work on the fix, what sort of focus is it mk1 or 2

The Focus we've owned since day one. Serviced once every six months although when any problems arise my Mum will go months before sorting them. She had a slipping clutch for a year, she only decided to have it changed after she couldnt get up a hill in West Wales. The engine management lights been on for 3 years... it's just an all year round xmas deco to her

The 406 on the other hand has loads of receipts and the underneath has been rust proofed. Didn't stop my sills turning into tissue and the car owing me £3000 in repairs!
