the engine doesnt stop when am drivin it mate its just hard to start but with a bump start it would start problem

Sorry, I hadn't read all of your post.
Thinking about it, the lift pump should also run while the starter's turning, (& you probably won't be able to hear that), so it might still be worth trying the test lamp

will try that mate
going to check my fuel filter to see if its dirty or blocked somethings tellin me my tank might be dirty and could be blocking pipes or even the filter on the bottom of the lift pump i could be wrong but its worth a try

well i didnt want to post this yesterday just incase it was another failed attempt but i have now fixed the starting problem after yous guys gave me an idea about blockage i took off the top of the filter housing and blew through the pipes and turned out there was an airlock in the pipes so after a good run last night and today it started no problem
