Strange Numerical Thing

Does anyone have an odd way of adjusting the volume on their radios/tvs or just anything numerical in my car its either a 5, 10, or 15 i dislike the inbetween numbers and on the tv its only in multiples of 10 although its capable of going to any volume (eg if its at 67 i put it up to 70). And for some reason it only is with volumes, i adjust the phones volume to max or nothing else wheras things like the climate control can be anything, and ive discussed this with friends, some actually do this.

now im not saying there is anything wrong with your little quirk, but i bet a shrink would have a field day with that one, does this OCD creep into any other areas at all?

i do as i have aspergers autism so am quite picky with things like that lol i like things to be in order aswell lol so ur not alone lol

Oh, my 12 year-old nephew's been diagnosed with Asberger's (hamburgers?) but I reckon it's just a label they've stuck on him to explain why he doesn't want to do anything other than play computer games all the time His only compulsion, apart from to be completely unhelpful & uncooperative, is to f*ck up any computer he goes near

I genuinely believe that the current generation of kids are going to have trouble socialising and communicating in every day life due to these computer games

The games manufacturers make them addictive, then bring out game No.2, 3, 4........

Parents of course get an 'electronic babysitter' whilst they're busy with other stuff but unknowingly creating a kid with a few issues.

The sad thing is that most parents would argue that it's 'not safe' out on the streets so the kid will play computer games indoors but are things really that bad out there? I beg to differ, I don't think there's any strange men asking kids if they want to go and 'see some kittens' so much rather the threat is closer to home, indoors in fact, and on-bloody-line

I find it incredibly frustrating the 406's climate control only has 0.5 degree increments. I want 0.1!

Mind you, my Golf only has 1 degree increments, but it doesn't matter that much because the climatronic system is terrible compared to Peugeot's effort...

I have played computer games pretty much every day of my life since Christmas 1985 (when my Mum and Dad bought my brother and I a 2nd-hand Commodore 64 and a bundle of games).

I don't think I've had any major issues; as long as your parents continue to do things with you (i.e. take you out places, go on holidays together, etc) then there's not really anything wrong with it. People had the same issue with television before computer gaming exploded in popularity. Personally, I feel computer games are typically better for you than watching the telly as a lot of them make you think, or test your co-ordination, your business/management sense, your sense of rhythm, etc., depending on the title in question. Interactivity is a real boon to kids.

What really gets my goat is kids who do nothing other than post on Facebook to their friends who live nearby. Sure it's "social" but I don't get what's so fun about it.

I only signed up to Facebook to play Cafe World (hey, it's more fun than Farmville, and I only spend 10 minutes a day on it, if that)

I refuse to have a games console in the house. I haven't even let the kids near a PC at home yet (well apart from sitting next to me when I'm on the laptop )
Admittedly they have their television programs after school but then they are quite happy building lego and making mischief as I feel kids should do!
A lot of people think it's weird but I want them to have as much childhood as they can away from a computer screen, playing games and enjoying real life.

See, you're denying yourself so much entertainment! Just lever the fuse out of the plug when you're done, or use the parental controls stuff and only buy 18 rated games (the best ones... )
