Hi all,
Im interested to know when i get to mot time do i need to go resort back to diesel for the emissions or keep using veg oil, i normally put 55 litres of veg oil to 10 litres of diesel when i fill the tank.
Would this be a mot failure?
The mot tester would so know its running veg oil, as its seems to stink of the stuff at the moment. But the saving wise i cant not use it.

Re: MOT and emissions
try it on veg oil, it's an easy fix if you fail!
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.

Re: MOT and emissions
I used to run a xantia TD on derv but with the pump wound up for extra poke, when it came up for an mot I would take the turbo pressure sense pipe off the pump and slip some plastic over the and refit. This blocked off the pipe and reduced the fueling thus it would sail through the emissions

Re: MOT and emissions
Take it for it's MOT on veg, veg produces less smoke than diesel so it's more likely to pass,
but if your injectors are past there best diesel may be a bettor bet.
BTW the 1.9's will run on 100% veg as long as the engine/injectors are good.
