Whats the deal with warranty direct, for £300 i got a quote (couldnt resist the offer of a free bluetooth kit) thats per year i think does that figure change if anything needs fixed or is it constant, and if i signed up who fixes the car

well now and this shows how much of a sucker i am to free stuff its a free place in the draw for it, but if i do win it cost nothing

I think you'd need to study the small print carefully. As I understand, most of these policies have a claim limit in any one occurrence. Say your car was playing up, so you pop it into the nominated garage, they might (because it's under warranty) push for changing the HP pump at a cost of £1,500.00? the warranty people are going to be looking at you to contribute maybe 50%.........could get messy especially as you've already paid £300.00 before anyone touches a spanner

I see these people in the same light as insurance companies.....they're your best friend UNTIL you want to claim............

what i find strange here is that i could provide my own warranty for about the same money and just buy a 406 thats been hit, ill still get all the parts and round here i see them going for about £300

There's always the good old "consequential damage" clause to watch out for.

I've been sent a renewal for the warranty on the 407...Platinum Peugeot warranty for £300. Ours ran out yesterday.
Problem is that I would be commited to taking my car to the dealer for servicing...nooooooooooo way.
