I was thinking the same looking at the angle of the plate that the actual brace is attached to the top mount with. Looks like it's already bent downwards.

Right i fitted it there, no big job, although i still am using the shorter standard bolts its just until the seller sends out the longer ones, but these seem to hold it in fine with more than plenty of travel gripping them in. The bonnet closed no bother and it didnt sit up a bit and there was no rattles to be heard.
As for the actual handling i just got a small drive up some wee country roads not the best place to test but even slowly pulling the car out it felt tighter, theres no understeer now, the back suspension now makes itself felt better, and the cars not as floppy of itself it really does feel much more solid. Best of all its still a Peugeot the perfect compromise between handling and comfort there except now the handling bits better and the comfort is still fantastic.

That's cool, I wish I'd have fitted one to mine as I 'enjoy' the handling of any car....

I'm going to be fitting a rear anti-sway bar and strut brace to the Volvo at some point :P

Will you need to drill holes to get the strut brace across the boot? :supafrisk:

Goes underneath and, according to form, it completely transforms the car :o

Costs a whopping £240.00 :frown:

So it's an aunty roll bar and a strut brace? Weirdness. I thought the difference would be the arb goes at the bottom of the spring/damper and the brace goes at the top, or does that mount half way down? :supafrisk: I had a look on that site but not sure where to look for the blurb, I did, however, come across this:

I wonder if they're as kack as the ones we get :?

I'm not entirely sure what it does back there but everyone raves about it being the most important modification and it even changes the way your steering input works  be like learning the car all over again.

Wanting one even more now, to bad I'm skint

So, let me see if I've got this right?

Strut brace improves rigidity by providing the 4th side to the rectangle made up by the suspension / arb along the bottom and the struts being the sides?

The Volvo version does the same thing by adding another bit at the bottom?

(I reckon it's another ploy to enhance safety by increasing weight / reducing performance). :P

You won't - I don't need to fill up every few hundred miles, so don't plan my routes accordingly.

*Bumpage*

So, like, if someone was to fit one of these here strut/turret braces up front then what do you do? do you just unbolt the smaller bolts around the turret and screw some longer ones back in?

I've got visions of unbolting things and the whole lot going BE-DOYNG>>>>>>>>>>
