LED tail light questions and pic request

Post by no2lurch »

I been thinking since I put LEDs and HIDs in the front lights of my d9 estate- what's so good about using LEDs for the tail lights? Are there any pros or cons? Anyone got any pics of them lit up in a d9 estate?

Got them in my saloon, but don't really make any difference or look disimilar to standard brake bulbs, except maybe slightly brighter. Only thing is with mine, they are on dim all the time (even when lights are off) and go bright when braking.

Don't ask me, it's just what they do. Maybe the standards are double filament, but still doesn't explain why they're on all the time the engine's running. Maybe they're just more sensitive to electrical current than standard bulbs?
