CD changer not recognised after display swap

Hi all,
I posted this in electrics aswell, so sorry if anyone does a double read!.
I recently cracked the dispaly on my 406 SE 110HDI estate, got one from breakers, fitted it, all ok, no lines etc. But the cd changer is not recognised, if anyone has any ideas i'd welcome then.
