electro valve?

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

As far as I'm aware it regulates pressure in the fuel tank by allowing air from the intake system into the tank to compensate for the liquid pulled out by the fuel tank. It shouldn't make a noticeable noise except for a few seconds after you've shut the engine off so I suspect yours is broken. Should be easy to pick up one from a breakers yard - I haven't checked but I think they're all the same

petrol filters in 406s are under the car just in front of the fuel tank.

MJB is right ... I found out that it can be isolated (if the noise bothers you), or buy a new one.

or newer 406 (ph2) have the petrol filter in the fuel tank..so that can you just check them or clened them
