I sat in a Porch 911 once, it was stationary at the time, the owner didn't know (or seem to care 'cos he'd left it unlocked) & and I was very, very drunk (so drunk I couldn't figure out how to lock it for him). Does this count?

a few months ago i drove a 300c chrysler with a 6.2 hemi engine with a supercharger
now these things look the size of a house ,have 4 doors a auto box, and must be at least 2.5 ton ,but with 4 adults in and a open road[not in the uk i must add] 178 mph was seen on the speedo.it might have gone faster but i had had enough

Probably wasn't the fastest, but felt faster, was a single seater 1600cc at Silverstone. An average speed of 80+mph with a track with basically a single long straight must have hit over a ton on that straight.

Fastest I've driven (though not at a particularly high speed, but in terms of sheer acceleration), a Vectra VXR 2.5 twin turbo.

Fastest I've owned, probably the Alfa GTV 2.0. Only 130bhp though was a fairly light car, nothing by modern standards though but it felt fast.

Fastest I've been in a car, as a passenger in a cheekily driven mk2 Ford Granada 2.8i Ghia X.

The most ambitious car ive ever driven a 1.1 litre fiat panda, didnt have a rev counter but it screamed like mad all the time and although on paper it wasnt a quick car it always made you feel like you were going like mad

My 1.2 Clio was like that, and dare I say it, probably the most fun!

Raking the guts of it, and still maintaining the speed limit! :D

I had a 1.2 16v clio after the panda the mk2 model though which although it was faster and more powerful than the 1.1 fiat, the drama was gone, the handling and nimbleness, and city mode light steering had gone, but then so to did the craked engine block from forgetting to put in antifreeze (cough).
On the topic of fiat they have invented a new engine the twinair, theres good news, and funny news. The funny news is its just a 800cc 2 pot, the good news is its got a turbo and it sounds fantastic. Have a listen its like a mini v6 in your car:

Sorry but a 3 Pot Corsa sounds better than that and more 'V6' like :|

My other Nissan Silvia S14 about the same
Yet another 200SX S14a, 170
My ex top secret, drag mobile 900+ brake Supra 2JZ, was not road legal though. didnt really get to see what that could do, it was super fast in japan, but my mate tore the diff out, ripped the titanium exhaust apart and put the prop through the floor
then the brace of scoobies and two skylines and an evo before my business went for a burton :(

Since the good old days and four kids later
2.1TD 406, did 130 after a top end rebuild and a tweak
2.0 Turbo exec, does about the same but standard.
98, Executive turbo estate in aluminum silver. The stealth wagon! Now departed, New project Xsara VTR-8 in progress, Next Project, 406 D8 / JAP. So will be looking for a 406 again when the xsara is done!
