wet weather engine stalling

Hi guys here again .Having a problem with the old en engine stallgine stalling trick again ,it is only happening in the wet weather ,my fix is everything in the engine bay that has a wire going to it gets sprayed with wd 40 .Am I right in assuming because my spark plugs are under a cover that moisture cant get in near the plugs or is there something about pug engines not liking water, would appreciate some ideas if anyone has any thanks in advance ...Rob PS it was brown trouser job twice today

Anywhere that you see anything electrical connected with the ignition system, cover and seal it up with plastic bags, done this many times over the years on all sorts of cars....never failed me yet.

Thanks Jasper I appreciate the quick reply will do as you say. I have noticed that where most of the wires that go to a connector the sleeving is short leaving about an inch of wire showing would it be advantageous for me to wrap them with insulation tape before Ibag them

Might be a good idea to wrap exposed wires first, I sometimes squirt silicone sealer in potentially vulnerable connections before wrapping them.

The rain was horrible today on the M6/M65 this afternoon driving back from Cheshire, probably as bad round your way....wasn't raining down Cheshire though, couldn't see much with the spray.
