Nothing Suspicious Here...

Post by waue1978 »

Had a quick look at a coupe on Ebay & it stated that it had been relisted, so out of curiosity I checked the completed listings to see how much it had ended at previously.

I just hope any potential bidders do the same...

Here they are from the 1st time the car was listed to the latest listing:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2001-PEUGEOT-406- ... 230b5fbeb0

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2001-PEUGEOT-406- ... 230b67ba81

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEUGEOT-406-COUPE ... 230b6ddfc2

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEUGEOT-406-COUPE ... 230b8f1da0

Who can spot the most suspicious details then?

10 points to Puggy. But did you also notice how the 80k cambelt change disappears at the same time? Even better

Maybe he travelled back in time & bought the car at a lower mileage so that he could get more for it...

Almost as amusing is how it took him until his 5th attempt to notice that he'd left the original mileage in the big item specifics box.

Strangely enough at the time of writing this, the high bid is £666!!!

Urgh, what a sh*t-bag I can't believe it :x

Mmm, now let me see though.......It has no history BUT it's 'just had' new 'oils' etc.....I dunno, might be worth a punt, afterall it drives perfect and when I see the car I will know it has only done 58,500 miles, cos I'll just know, that's why........and the seller does include pretty wallpapers in the ads so he must be a nice man.......

I'll take it! :cheesy:

No point - they don't do anything about things like that. If they end a listing they refund the fees - leave it running & they get paid!

I was making a note of this for future reference but.... how do you find out if it's been relisted?

Oooh, a feedback score of 2, both from the last month for... it doesn't say what they're for :frown:

Ive a good idea, why dont we ask him a question and direct him to this page, that would give the plonker a bit of a red face and some explaining to do.
One of the reasons ebay gets a bad rep at times is sellers like that.
