406 factory sat nav unit, suitable for 406 exec, or coupe SE.

£45 including postage.

I've also got the holding bracket for a coupe, a sat nav GPS aerial, 2001-2 CD and a remote control if anyone's interested.

Hi 406executive, I'm not sure you could just put the whole lot in and it'll work, because it combines the radio display and car's trip computer. Also, the display is different, it doesn't have the buttons either side, it just has an infrared reciever for the remote.

If you want to try, I'll take £90 for the lot, but I wouldn't want to build your hopes up.

I thought your executive would have already had sat nav. I always thought it was standard on execs.

Nope its a 2002 and for some reason it has all the options but sat nav., i know about the infared display, id need one of them i assume, then i suppose a trip to the dealers for a bit of bsi reprogramming to accept the sat nav. Do you have the display.
If you dont mind me asking why did you take it out of your coupe, any problems with it?

Any good screenshots of what the satnav can do, i seen a post somewhere of it running a self diagnostic check on the car is that possible, does it do a digital speed display or a compass?
Im genuinely interested in this, i think the mfd display is going to waste, theres plenty of pixel resolution for it to do more like a sat nav.

Hi again,

basically, my sat nav packed in a few months ago, and I bought a second hand replacement. Then I swapped them back before getting rid of the car. I haven't got any screen shots of the sat nav, but a search on here should fetch up a few.

It's quite basic compared to after market sat navs like tom tom, but I always liked it all being built into the car (one of the reasons i bought the particular mondeo I have). I would never want to rip you off and tell you it's brilliant and better than an aftermarket version. It's not fantastic, but it always got me to where I wanted to be. Another thing is you have to give it an address, rather than a postcode. If I was going somewhere like a holiday park, which doesn't have an address, I would always have a look on google maps first and find the nearest street or road and put that into the car.

It'd be worth checking with someone in the know first if you can get it fitted. Or if you want to buy and take a gamble, you can always sell them seperately later. I've got to tell you that the remote is currently on ebay, so it that sells, then you may have to get another one (and I'll drop the price to £50 for the rest).

My Coupe has a Sat Nav unit, but the disc is missing (the previous owners never had it either). Is it only the 2001/2002 disc you have? If so, would the Sat-Nav machine read a CD-R disc?

I've got the holder for the unit, but it's for a coupe, not sure if the same one is in the saloon.
The GPS aerial
The Remote control (ebay item 160506449465)
Original 2001-2 CD

All working.

I don't have the screen though.

yes i see it, how much for all then if i was to buy the remote could i request a total for the extras.
Let me start up a post to see what it takes to get it in. Other than the bsi, ill end up having to get another screen and spraying it to match my dash.
The holder isnt important thats why cable ties and no more nails were made

I'll take £90 for the lot, postage would be on top, probably around a fiver at a guess (PS it was me you contacted on ebay, selling the remote)
