I'll go further than fine, I'd say Mintex are just about the best after market brake parts you can buy. Got mine off ebay, some good deals to be had on there.

Re: Which Disc's & Pad's
On my coupe, I bought 2 sets of cheapo discs and pads, and kept getting warped discs.
Then I spent £110 (in delivery) on a full set of front & rear discs and pads, and handbrake shoes. Never had a problem after that. They're the same brakes that are on the car now...... wherever it may be.

Re: Which Disc's & Pad's
I fit the Mintex discs and pads onto a fleet of delivery vans that get absolutely hammered, I've not had a single problem with them, so, yes....they are more than fine.....

Re: Which Disc's & Pad's
I went to Euro Car Parts and bought there Eicher discs and pads. They were pretty good in all fairness! I dorve hard on them for about 5k? Never had an issue.
Infact just bought the same for the focus.

Re: Which Disc's & Pad's
That's pads and discs Sam
By the way I bought genuine pug pads once.... the first time. £47 IIRC

Re: Which Disc's & Pad's
Don't want to appear pedantic here guys, but there is no such thing as genuine pads, they are always made by one of the main brake manufacturers (even Mintex) but maybe Bendix or Lucas etc.
BTW Gary, Mintex brake pads are supplied by a place in Warrington, they also supply Pagid and a couple of other makes....I pass the place at least once a week and will do so tuesday morning when I go to service and replace all the discs and pads on one of the Nissan vans I look after (Mintex discs and pads).

Naaaaah, of course they're genuine - it's got a lion on the box an' evveryfing
Btw my mate just had the pads changed on her Renault, I wish I could read the manufacturer's name on the pads 'cos I'm sure the friction material's not meant to start separating from the backplate when they're about 3/4 worn

Re: Which Disc's & Pad's
OK, I bought some pads from the main stealer then....
. Actually, taking that a step further I bet it's only a very very small number of bits of a car are actually made by the car maker, pretty much everything is subcontracted out or bought in
