I was wondering does that foam thing that keeps the doors watertight is the ones on d8 different than d9s, i see one on ebay but it says phase 1 surely there is not much difference?

I know what mine look like on the saloon, from having swapped out the door cards. If you show me a photo of the ones from the D8 you're looking at, I could tell you if they're different from the D9.
However, remember that saloons and estates have differently-shaped rear doors; I imagine the seal is also different as a result.

Looks like it is the right part; they seem to be the same between D8 and D9 (that is, the D8 part number on your eBay auction is the same part as it was on Service Box when I used it to look up a D9 HDi 110 4-Door Saloon):
However, your front doors are a bit different because they're either reinforced (SIPS) or not reinforced; the part numbers are different for each one.
Not sure which you'll have.
