Never read the handbook  , but mine works the same as my previous Cistern....

hold trip counter button down while turning key, continue to hold till it displays 12500

have tried that doggy , 12,000 appears but when i let go it starts to
countdown from 10 seconds , are you supposed to start the car then
or switch the ignition of first because it just goes back to spanner
and zero

hold it for longer - we'll check if you're OK in the spring.

As best I can remember, it should go to 12500, then I think it just stops flashing :?:

You can also make it count down from a lesser mileage (9000 I think?) by pressing it again after? I used to do this as my mileage was less than 9K a year.

I reset mine to 12500 after doing the oil and filters.

Just have a mental note to service it again after 6000 or so miles but to leave it.

Then when the original 12500 runs out service again and reset again.

12500 is wayyy too long! Oil ends up looking like sludge!

:P :P Well steve i was seriously considering that course of action as
i hate to be different and i think it is quite a mystery why it is my car
it is happening to .

probably needs shorter intervals cos of the power its putting out

Ah!, that's your problem. You need to stop 'putting it out'.

Try to get what little there is, to the wheels.
