Hi everyone, just joined last night after looking around for a decent forum for peugeots. I have had five of them in the last twelve years. Started with a 309 petrol then changed that for 309 deisel which was fantastic runner. I moved up to a 405 petrol then again went to a 405 deisel. I am now running a "V" reg 2ltr HDI deisel. Although the engine is out of a 52 Citreon Picaso after the previous owner ran it into a very large puddle and nacked the engine. MPG wise I am getting around 45 and I have managed up to 55 on the motorway at a steady 60mph.
The car is pretty good as far as repairs are concerned. The only things I have done on it in the year I have owned it are:- front indicator bulbs (colour going) rear brake shoes, all filters, Air flow mass meter and wiper blades. It failed its last test on a missing fuel filler cap and a number plate bulb off, so I am happy that was all that he found on it.
I will be asking one or two questions about the car because there is a few things on it I dont know what they are so hopefully will get my answers here.
Bye for now.
2000 ltr LX Deisel HDI. Gold colour. Running with a Citreon Piccaso engine (52model)

Hi there, welcome :cheesy:

I thought for a moment there you'd gone mad and fitted an HDi lump to a 405
