electric mirrors

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

electric mirrors

Post by deturbo »

I was wondering if any one could help me.
my electric mirror on the passenger side of my exec has been replaced with a non memory type which means every time i restart the car it readjusts it self.
Is there any way of disconecting it from the memory system ?

Also is it the same memory under the seat or is there a separate one for the m9irrors?

Cheers in advance

Moved for you :)

Unfortunately you cannot stop the mirror moving about when you press the preset; there are sensors on the exec mirror motor modules and without this data the controller has no way of knowing where the mirror is. The mirror position is stored in the same unit as the seat position.

Is it not possible to cut the leads to them from the seat memory or do they have there own memory unit.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram?
