hi guys just bought an s reg 1.9td 406 estate in immaculte nick with 205,000 on the clock but with 105,000 engine and gearbox fitted.just afew niggles need sorting though.firstly,how difficult is it to replace the tacho bulb ?and is it a common fault that the diesel filler cap cover doen't open when the lever is pulled ?i've also noticed the tacho sometimes drops and then springs back up.any advice would be greatly appreciated as have spent all my savings on this beauty ! any ideas how many mpg it should be getting ? cheers guys {its taken me half an hour to 2 finger type this ,sad or what !] /posting.php?mode=post&f=17#

Welcome on in Tristan!
The dash bulbs are fairly straightforward, you have to remove the dash surround (couple of torx screws in the top & it pulls out), then 4 torx screws to remove cluster. The bulbs are the little twist in jobbies.
With regards the filler flap: see here!

And the tacho drops could be down to dry joints. While you have the speedo unit out, run a soldering iron over the connections
