I tried searching and cant seem to find the answer so:-
Does D9 front seats fit a D8? I want to remove mine and put in GTX seats with armrest.
Does the seat belts need swapping over aswell?

Re: Front Seats?
I'm almost (as I've not done it myself) certain the answer is "yes", they're a straight swap.
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Re: Front Seats?
Downside with GTX seats is that they're electrically adjustable which means more wiring. My LX has armrests & are still manual, but would've thought it'd be easier still to just rob the seats from a D8 GLX as they have the armrests in.

Re: Front Seats?
Yeah, might try D8 GLX, are those seats as comfy, as I had a GTX and seats are so comfy on long journeys was like sitting in an armchair.
Altho wiring I assume would just be an ignition live or a switch live and earth to power the seats?

Re: Front Seats?
They were comfy enough from what I can remember the last time I drove one. Wiring should be fairly straightforward (as I should be finding out myself in the next few weeks), but if you can get away without needing to do it, you might as well.
Also, from what I've read, there's a bit of work involved to try to get the D9 rear seats to fit in a D8. D8 GLX interior should also be much cheaper & more readily available given that there'd be a few more dead ones kicking around.

Re: Front Seats?
Not bothered about rear seats, want them for comfort not for looks. I'm missing an armrest, keep going to lean me arm on 1 and end up hitting the handbrake.

Re: Front Seats?
yes D9 seats fit in D8s. i have done this, i now have 2003 rapier interior in my 1998 D8 , only reason i have these is there the only black seats i could find, i hate grey cloth seats, i dont want leather prefere cloth seats anyday
the front fit in prefect, the back also fit but you have to remove the cloth and sponge from the metal frame, the rear back rests FRAME are the only different things in D9 and D8 interiors . its only the locking bit thats different
its a very easy job might be worth doing then your interior is all matching,
