No-one's said anything but I think you guys back in Grate Britain already had some but...
2" in 20 minutes. I just popped into town to pick up the wife & do a little shopping. We were in the store 15 minutes tops and came out to find the car looking like a loaf of bread. It was coming down so hard the window I'd just done was covered before I finished the next one. I cleared the windscreen last and opened my driver's window to see my way out of the carpark but by that time the wipers were compacting it all around the screen. No salt on the roads, nothing, I did mean to go fill up but I thought discretion being the better part of valour an' all that slosh I'd head home before it got worse. And it has Fortunately my car's safely tucked up in the barn.
Been more than that up here in Aberdeen the last couple of days
It's damned cold!

The chains are still back in my garage It didn't start from another 2 weeks.odd last year, the weather forecast was just for rain so I hadn't really thought about it yet. And just yesterday I was eyeing up a 5kg bag of salt in the supermarket, thinking I won't bother just yet...
Still snowing but it's quite light, only about 5". Hopefully it'll all be gone in the morning as if it had never existed, just like a politician's promise...
We're getting a bit in Northern Ireland tonight, prb about half an inch where I'm at so far. My impression of the snow is that is a bugger to work in and drive in....but my word IT IS GOOD FUN. My 4oh was snaking along the back roads at silly angles today, theres just enough handbrake to lock the rear wheels
ah countrypug someone who may understand, do you think we dont get our fair share of snow here in NI, ive been over in scotland and they get enough to block roads but over here its never really severe, especially round by armagh, i know down an antrim get more snow but its usually less than scotland.
Can any meterologist explain why there is less snow here, or is it just me thinking this.
I think it's got something to do with mountains...
It's +1 here now, it's still snowing but not getting any deeper. I've been out & cleared the paths and terrace and it's sludgy grot with snow on top. Forecast is +3 for the morning so hopefully it'll be gone.
-3 here, we had a light dusting about 1 or 2 inches yesterday but today has stayed dry and snow free although yesterdays snow hasnt cleared and its forecast for minus 5 to 9 around here by monday, just need to order some silly mud/snow tyres and i will be laughing (if the bloody thing will start) im quite looking forward to it at the moment but ask me in a few weeks time when it wont get above -10 day or night and i might give you a different response.
