It's snowing in Tunbridge Wells! Lovely
One of perks of working from home is that I don't have to face icy, accident stricken roads or failed attempts at British public transport. Therefore, snow = good!

But working from home do you not get the urge to drive out on the roads just to see what they are all on about, the most i have to drive is about 1 mile to another yard we rent for keeping the cattle.

I've done enough driving and sitting on M25 in my previous role in all weathers to last me a lifetime. Snow driving is definitely not fun without proper winter tyres.406executiveHDI wrote:But working from home do you not get the urge to drive out on the roads just to see what they are all on about, the most i have to drive is about 1 mile to another yard we rent for keeping the cattle.

And it's still only November... We've got the white sh*t forecast from lunch time today until tomorrow evening (my back hurts already).
Btw if you find the snow sticks to the inside of the shovel & you're getting sick of banging it on something the best release spray I've found is.... WD40 (useful stuff!)

wd 40 is useful for a lot of things.
Re: Here comes that evil white sh*t again :o(
That's too much I guess and as Steve said it's still only November, why not consider a low cost vacation in a tropical countryDiscoPol wrote:

Sri Lanka being an agricultural based country, we used to have certain raining patterns for cultivating and cropping seasons since decades if not for centuries. As of now, all had gone for a six. It rains almost everyday here and not to mention mere 10 inch water level is more than enough to suck water into the engine through the lowered air intake of 406. I've detached the air intake pipe from the intake, close to wheel arch and stuck it up on with the radiator top hose to make sure I'm not one of those who killed the engine of their 406's by just crossing over 1 foot stacked up water which is now very common on main roads!!. A large number of Peugeots have affected due to floods this time as usual. Remedy I've done is not possible with the later designs of air cleaner placed close to the air intake.
some serious climate changes had took place and continue to rock the world it seems.

Re: Here comes that evil white sh*t again :o(
Am i correct in saying its monsoon season over there?
Re: Here comes that evil white sh*t again :o(
Correct, inter monsoons precisely. There were two monsoon seasons, heavy rains from May to September through southwest monsoons and mild rain from December to March typically through northeast monsoons. October, November are inter-monsoon seasons and some random rain fall can be expected. But these days it rains cats and dogs continuously and that was unexpected and not following any pattern as such. The known monsoon seasons, patterns are no more accurate.

I assume its not good drying weather if you put your clothes out on a line. Any pictures of the sky of where your at?
Re: Here comes that evil white sh*t again :o(
We got the serious snow this afternoon
There were only 2 cars made it up our street (quite steep) this evening, my neighbour across with a 4x4 and my wife in our 407
The rest are abandoned lower down.
