i added 2 x 12s then realized running my music speakers on my head unit was a NO NO.

My plan at teh moment is to run the Sub on it's own amp for the time being and the JBL: speakjers off the headunit.
When I have the money I'm getting a JBL 5 channel amplifier to run the lot!

Right another pointless update...
Yesterday I give the amp cover a few more coats of colour...
Image

Then today I gave it another coat of colour...
Image

Then while waiting for that to dry I decided considering I can't shift the alloys I have, I'm goign to refurb them and stick them on the Focus...
Before...
Image
Image

Give them a quick clean and started putting some filler in the kerb marks...
Image

Then by the time I did that the basecoat was tacky and I stuck a few coats of laqure on...
Image
Image

Also sanded down the screws that I filled and got them in primer...
Image

Also the cover for the amp has to be slid back in through little gaps in the lid... it's going to be a tight squeeze I think...
Image

Also I found a new lambda sensor with the plug on for £45 or without the plug for £35?? But they wanted to know the size of it... After jacking up the car... i realise dit was accessable from the top of the engine :(...

Didn't realise I was going to get much else done today... So for another update
After I primed the bolts I pushed them into the work bench and painted them matt black
Image
Image

Started sanding down the alloy...
Image

Also decided to grind down the numbers on the alloy...
Image
Image

Anyway finished the amp, smeared some copper grease on the edges of the panel and slid it in with a little vibration...
Image

Some of thescrews chipped which is annoying, so waiting until the Laquer has hardend and then going to remove them and maybe look at getting something else to replace them, or just paint them better

Quicker if anything! It drys but it stays a little soft. I managed top get 3 layers of colour down and 4 coats of laquer in about an hour. It was completley dry to touch but you could dig your nail into it! So I brought it in and stuck it on the radiator for a few hours! Nice now :)
