I'm using a 50/50 mix of Comma all season screen wash, according to the bottle it's good down to -9.

Probably won't need it though, today is the first day we've had snow in Plymouth, we seem to miss out on all the fun

And heres another problem the ice is causing it froze my sunroof solid, not that i had any intention of using the sunroof, but whatever way it froze it it caused immense rattling up there, so a bit of hot water to melt the ice and the rattle had gone.

My rear door was frozen shut the other morning. A bit annoying as I like to throw the laptop bag in behind the seat.

Someone else who puts the laptop bag behind the seat, do you also put the rear mat over it?

No because I don't stop on the way to and from work. If I know I'm stopping, it goes in the boot.406executiveHDI wrote:Someone else who puts the laptop bag behind the seat, do you also put the rear mat over it?

Re: Windscreen wash stuff.
The mild screen wash available here is only good for -16, and nothing is for diluting its all to be used neat, i have the good stuff in at the moment thats good for -32 but i think i will have to get the strong one for -60 next time as the -32 stuff is freezing on the screen when i use it and my bloody headlamp washers are about as much use as tits on a nun at the moment all they have done is turn the snow on the front of the disco blue.
it was -25 here last night windchill at -34, my bloody truck wouldnt start this morning, the shame of it, i had to get a jump start of the wife's kia Picanto, the little petrol driven b@stard started first time no problem, but then we did stick a new battery in the thing only last week.
I might have to change the oil this weekend in the disco as the 10/40 is only good down to -10 i reckon thats what killed the battery this morning trying to pump what is effectively solid oil round the lump. Land rover recommend 5/30 i think down to -25 then 0/30 or 0/50 after that, its gonna cost me a bloody fortune if i have to use 0/anything fully synthetic
oh the joys of a proper winter
