Re: Windscreen wash stuff.
A kia picanto jumpstarting a car now that is embarassing, but all petrol drivers can be smug at the moment they just jump in turn the key and it starts, and can put hot air out through the vents in less than a minuite, how can they do it its not fair.
-60 if you went out in that would you not instantly turn into a block of ice, or something like the bad guy did in terminator 2.

i think its more for the windchill effect when driving hopefully it wont go below -35 ish this year but -40 is not unheard of round these parts on the odd night.406executiveHDI wrote:-60 if you went out in that would you not instantly turn into a block of ice, or something like the bad guy did in terminator 2.

I was talking about that sort of thing with my pa last night, he said in times long past people used to put a coat or blanket over the engine at night and it was quite common to see people go off in a rush in the morning and just make it to the end of the road by which time the blanket was firmly wrapped around the fan belt or worse - on fire

Re: Windscreen wash stuff.
its wrap it up or face having to use the picanto as a booster pack each morning i think
i could get some easy start, but its not good for the engine i have heard it strips vital lubrication from the piston rings or something

You just need an incredibly rude and cartoonishly-angry Torquay hotelier armed with a tree branch to get your car to start

I remember my old Ford Orion. The trick was to try and hold the revs above idle. Hateful car.

i always liked the rear lights on the back of an orion the way they were in segments, but now i come to think of it the orion was the equivalent to the vw jetta, just an escort with a boot stuck on.

Thanks, er, just psp & and Jasc animation shop. It jiggles about a bit 'cos the camera pans across & I had to spend ages cropping.
I had to take it down 'cos Welly's poor old PC couldn't cope with it
