Re: vol blankin out
if it worked ok with your alpine ye its the kenwood,
kenwood arnt good headunits to be honest , especially for a external systems
get yourself another alpine , i use alpine 9855r - reason i use this is it has 3 gold plated rca outputs which are 4volt

Re: vol blankin out
is it set up correctly ?
the correct way to set your external amps is as follows
turn all inputs on amps to minimum
make sure the frequency range is set correctly make sure the head units high/low pass filter is OFF
turn the head unit to full volume (make sure amps are still on minimum input)
the slowly increase the input levels on the amps up untill you get a good loud disdortion free sound
the idea with the head unit being full is maximum signal is being passed to the amps
also make sure the subwoofer setting is 15 on the head unit then increase the amps input level
if you get stuck ask , it takes a lot of setting up to get it sounding right
what frequency range are your amps on ?
