Wood Trim Doorcards

Post by waue1978 »

Due to my upgrade to SE/SRi trim, I have available for anybody who wants them my old doorcards. Admittedly there is probably a limited market for these, but they are in good condition & would be a suitable upgrade for anybody that has a pre 2000 LX or GLX with the plain door cards or even do for somebody whose dogs/kids have destroyed theirs.

May split if anybody needs odd ones, but otherwise open to offers.

Also available if anybody wants them will be the grey plastics from under the dash as I'm replacing them with black items.

Coming soon - front seats with armrests & seat airbags & rear seat (non split, but still folds). Will be on same basis of "open to offers"

Great, so your LX has the door cards with the wood inserts, front seats with arm rests, front fog lights, AND wiring for the puddle lights?

Mine had none of the above :( are you sure yours isn't a GLX? Does it have rear electric windows or manual wind?

Electric rears. They added a lot more kit all round in 2000. My 99 GLX D9 didn't have the wood trims, armrests or trip computer, but my 2000 LX does.

Oh man, you got a trip computer too?

Bloody Peugeot

Oh well. Got all that in the Coupe now (except electric rear windows :cheesy:) so it's all good.

am i the only person who likes the wood in my car, although id prefer it a bit darker and a bit more realistic, perhaps with a few real splinters.

I liked it better in mine than when I had the GLX without, but I do prefer the black ash effect that came with the new interior.

is the black ash the darker stuff put in se spec cars, ill agree with you on that it looks better, is it possible to change the wood trim without completley changing the doorcards, and how does the wood trim to the right of the steering wheel come out, and did the ashtray come in the dark wood effect.

I'll have a gander at the doorcards later, but the one next to the steering wheel is so easy. With the door open, get a finger under the edge & it just pulls out.

The ashtray does come in the black ash (as with Rapiers), but I didn't get it with my interior. Thinking I might get the non-smoker console in there anyway.

i dont see any problem with the ash tray, i dont smoke, cant stand the smell it leaves in the car, but the ash tray is very handy for loose change.

Here are all the items from my interior that are now surplus to requirements. All are open to offers as it's all taking up space.

They're here mate:

Forgot to add to the list - I've also got a wood effect ashtray (as found in GTX & Exec models) that needs a new home as it doesn't go with the new interior.

Believe it or not, a hell of a lot easier than the left one. Only took 20 mins. behind the inner egg shaped thing on the side (which just pops out with a thin screwdriver) are 3 screws. Drop the fuse cover & remove the 2 screws holding that on, aswell as the PITA plastic clips holding that flappy bit of carpet underneath. 2 screws are all that hold the headlamp adjuster/diagnostic port in & then 1 PITA screw which can only be accessed from inside wiggling a little torx driver from right next to the steering column.

Did contemplate doing a how-to for the dash bits & doorcards, but ended up being a bit of a rush to do with only having the week without the little man & going to work too. Also, didn't really think anybody else would be interested in getting those bits off the dash.

Next time I get chance though, I may do a few photos & see if I can get added to the infamous knowledge base...
