Washing Seatbelts

Whats the best way to make my grubby looking front seatbelts look new again, they arent ripped or tore anywhere they are just cream and show the dirt much better than other colours. Can i take them out and put them in the washing machine. Ive already tried stain devils and fairy liquid to no avail

any help?, how many people on here have the hard to keep clean (fcuking disaster to keep clean) interior, ie cream?

My first 406 had the cream seatbelts & I'm afraid to say absolutely nothing that we tried got rid of the dirt.

Best thing to do is get some vanish spray or 1001 & an old toothbrush. Pick a patch of dirt & scrub like hell with it. If it doesn't look any better after a good scrub, get some black seatbelts & replace the cream belts with black.

But that would look out of place in a car where everything else is cream. So new seatbelts is the solution, ive actually tried the toothbrush for small spots, and this was one of them f*ck off oral b sonic jobbies and still nothing.

Wouldn't look too out of place with black seatbelts seeing as there's loads of black trim bits already in the beige interiors. Would be cheaper than new ones & easier to maintain.

But my rear ones are immaculate and cream, and i would find them out of place because im obsessivley fussy about details like that. But ill just continue to look out for cream seatbelts. You know what its like when the seatbelt gets caught in the door, the oil and muck sh*t shows up much worse on cream, but its all worth it, for the times when the interior is clean. Im thankful no previous owners have ever left cig burns on any part of the car, i know someone smoked in it before because initially there was the smell of smoke and ashes but thats gone now. To get rid of the smoker smell get a chippy and eat it in the car.

powerhosing sounds drastic, the powerhose i have is capable of taking chunks out of wood, rust off cars, and probably shredding a seatbelt.
