1.9TD is on 131k atm, just had cambelt, waterpump and glowplugs changed. So hopefully wont ever need to do them again.

Water pump had failed, and took the cam belt out

£17.12 !!!

Seriously regretting not having the water pump done firstly when the belt and tensioners were changed,
and secondly, when had belt redone for the bottom pulley

cambelt and aux belt done at 123k so good for another 70k hopefully

147000. 406 LX estate. 110 hdi engine, manual box. Tows our caravan effortlessly . Get 41 mpg when towing it.

Still goes sweet as a nut.
Serviced regularly and recent new belts,water pump and pulleys.

Bejesus that's a lot that 2.0 petrol engine is one of Peugeots best-kept secrets it's as tough as old boots they will even withstand being horribly neglected of fresh oil and still not complain about it.

Like any motor - the 2.0 XU10 will keep on going if you change the oil and take good care of it (warm it up properly etc).

They can sludge up around the top end - really does depend on what oil you use though!

Oh and I'm on 183,000km now
