No new piccies and not all that much done, but twin exit stainless exhuast now on, and sounds much nicer. Not too loud, but gets moreso the heavier you are with your right foot. I've also just won a full set of front and rear GreenStuff brake pads on eBay, so will get some new drilled discs front and rear and get that done before Christmas. Will also get some braided hoses courtesy of MrSwampy on 406coupe forum while I'm at it. Finally, after seeing the crystal rear light conversion on some other topics, I've decided to give this a go so should get it done in the next few weeks.
Quick update. Been busy doing the brakes, replaced shoes, pads and discs on the back, and replaced discs and pads on the front. Got meself a bargain through eBay and picked up a full set of front and rear EBC GreenStuff brake pads for £30 delivered, got the front discs for £7 delivered also through eBay, but had to pay proper prices for the rear discs, shoes and fitting kits. I painted the calipers up in black while I was at it. It's the first time I've had a working handbrake for absolutely ages, that said, it's still crap.
Pics of the wheels and brakes to follow once I can find where the missus has hidden the camera lead.
Pics of the brakes, sorry but it was dark when I took the pics, but you get the idea.
And some pics of the snow last week. Due more come Thursday. BTW, that's a 3ft spirit level...
Here's the depth of the snow on the road, and one of the icicles hanging off the shed roof.
As a minus, due to the extreme cold (seen -18C twice last week) the chip on my windscreen has developed into a full on crack, and MOT due at beginning of next week, so I guess I should really try to dig out my insurance and get it sorted. Other than that, it's business as usual racking up the miles to and from work.
We didn't. We had plenty of provisions, and the guy next door borrowed the 4x4 from the farm so he gave us a lift into the local village 1 day, but basically we were stuck in the house for 4 days. The snow is square as I used the orange shovel in the pics to give it a nice 'hightop' (ala Kid 'n' Play if anyone remembers them!). I cleared the snow off the windscreen and windows and started the car a couple of times over the week or so it was parked up but left the snow on the roof to see how deep it got.
