normal stuff really service history/ timing belt done/ crank shaft pully/
only things that spring to mind other than that is rear beam's sufffer on the 306/xsara
and the wiring on the drivers door can stop the central looking and the eletriv window working.

you may want to look at the free guide's on used car expert web site
d9 hdi 90 rapier estate

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Make sure it's got no rear camber, if it has then it needs a new rear beam.
If it has no rear arch linings then back away as the inner rear quaters rust like hell! :supafrisk:
Get her to have a 406 instead, better rear suspension setup and they don't feel liek your being dragged along ina box! There aint that much difference in size!

too big is a complain only women can have about cars, what do they want, a cramped interior and lack of comfort. The Audi TT is 100% a womans car.

Someone once told me that the best thing to do with people in TTs is get them to lean their head out the window. They bash it on the frame everytime. If you ever get the chance, have a look inside & you'll see what I mean.

On the note of 306s, I think the balljoints are exceptionally weak.

One of my colleagues at work had a TT (briefly) and her name is Wendy!

She sold it because it was crap in the snowy weather. Completely unusable. She now drives a Toyota RAV4, which is essentially unstoppable.
