Clear lights though do look quite modern. But the main issue is wheather you prefer a honeycomb or slatted grille.

I'd love to try both :( Shouldn't be too hard? Just trim the grills down?

The D9 just looks more modern and stylish to me.

Anyway - the perfect 406 saloon/estate happens to be a D9 pre-2001 - no COM2000, and has those D9 good looks. Make it a V6, and because it's pre-2001, you miss out on the increased road tax too. And the V6 comes with the executive leather interior.

The Coupe is a different matter as there are very few exterior differences between the D8 and D9 Coupe.
2002 (D9) Peugeot 406 Coupe SE, 2.2 litre Petrol. Scarlet Red/Rouge Ecarlate/Rosso Scarlatto. Black Leather interior. SOLD :(
2008 (E60 LCI) BMW 525i M-Sport, 3.0 litre Petrol. Carbonschwarz Metallic. Black Dakota Leather and Myrtlewood interior.

myself i do like the D9 better as it obviously looks more modern, but also love the look of the front end of mine with splitter (currently not fitted)

only reason i wont change to a D9 is i dont want a HDi engine

If/When I get another 406 it will be a 1.9TD GLX.
I drop a 2.1 Lump with a Bosch pump on it and tune it.
I can put a D9 front end, bump strips and back end on it.
Being a GLX it will have all the toys the D9 has bar trip computer.
No Com2000 or BSI, nice simple 2.1 engine with lots of grunt too.

But going to have to wait

Sounds liek weve thrown this thread off quite abit though, sorry

Wiring loom would be easy.
Wings, Slampanel, Bumper and Bonnet.
Wouldn't be that hard?
Boot would be a case of lights, bootlid and bumper?

Clutch fitted on my uncles 2.0 HDi = £470
Clutch fitted in the same place on my 1.9TD = £295

Hmm, Know which one I'd prefer ;)
