-18 in castlederg now that is cold, whats everyone doing with their pets in this weather, ive got the dog now sleeping in the living room, the cats sleeping in the utility room plus some other cat which just turned up yesterday. And the hens house is actually quite warm because its got quite good insulation and i close up their door at night.

I was actually wondering how rabbits and guinea pigs were surviving in hutches without freezing to death :(

I planned on using a semi-conductive heat tracer tape to the underside of our rabbit cage but the rabbit died in the summer before I had a chance to do it :(

The trace heating system is now my next garage-pipes project for over xmas so they, and my garden tap, won't freeze again.

A friend has a ginny pig, its hutch is packed full of hay,and it sleeps in a ball, but im suprised to see it out and about in the snow doesnt care at all. Wheras heres my dog in this weather:
